2010 Fall Ball

For the fifth season, Willington Little League is offering a Fall Ball program for boys (ages 9-15) and for girls (ages 9-12). (Please note that eligibility is based on the age the child will be for the 2011 Spring Season). Last year’s program was a tremendous success and showed there was great interest among Willington players for fall baseball and softball. We are now forming teams to participate in the 2010 district-wide fall ball community.

Fall-Ball is a loosely competitive program intended to give players the opportunity to play at the level they will be play at next season. It is especially beneficial to the current 12 year olds (boys) that will move to the big diamond in the spring, but has been instrumental in raising the knowledge and ability of all boys and girls who have participated over the last 5 years we have offered this program. The program will begin as soon as we have enough registrants to form teams. Practices will then be held during the week (time and place to be announced to each team).

All games are played on Saturdays and traveling is necessary. Games should start the first Saturday after Labor Day (September 11th) and run 8 weeks through the end of October (Saturday October 30th). Dates are subject to change! Umpires are badly needed, as of this year Little League is requiring one adult umpire at every game.
